We often hear stories about successful businesses. It is easy to think that the founders of those businesses had a smooth pathway to success.
Mel MacDonald interviews successful business people who share with her (and you!) the stories of their successful ventures but also what went wrong along the way.
We don’t usually hear the stories about their stumbles (some large, some catastrophic).
These inspirational entrepreneurs are happy to talk about the lows as well as the highs because they understand that business challenges are inevitable and they know that sharing them will help other founders overcome their own obstacles.
You will hear them share what happened and why, how they picked themselves back up EVEN SMARTER THAN THEY WERE BEFORE and where they are now.
Our interviewees have all experienced very different business journeys. What they all have in common is the wisdom grown from difficulties that made them who they are today.
Why is this called ‘The Cactus Project’?
(For non-Australians, “went to cactus” means “all went wrong” but in reality we know that a cactus has deep roots and is one of the hardiest plants!)
Mel was talking to some business friends at the start of the pandemic who said ‘a lot of people’s businesses are going to go to cactus in these lockdowns- we should put together some information to help them’. A glass of wine and a few phone calls later and- ‘The Cactus Project’ was born.
