One of the most valuable techniques that Melanie ever taught me was to be able to see the gaps in the business and what those gaps were telling us. We used to sit and study businesses and look at the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets, find the problems, look at the solutions, and work out how to shift businesses massively in a very fast and productive way.
Since learning these techniques I have used them in many businesses that I have owned and grown. An invaluable skill that I not only used in business but in real estate, in negotiating, and in other areas of life.

I first saw Melanie speak at a property investing event back in 2007 – I was in awe even then!
What got my attention about her was not just the fact that she delivered the information with humour, or that she had a lot of experience in residential Property investing (my focus at the time), but also that she had bought businesses with little or no money down too!
Melanie had also started her own businesses and her net profits at that time were almost $1m pa – that was definitely someone I wanted to learn from!
I became a speaker at the same events with Melanie for a while and got to hear even more of her creative real live business experiences of buying, renovating and selling them. I even got to see some unfolding myself over that time.
What I admire about Melanie is that despite being a genius, she is still very down to earth and authentic with high emotional intelligence too. That’s a mix that’s hard to find, especially in the unregulated spruiker environment where so many sharks are lurking waiting to prey on honest people trying to build a better live for themselves through business or property opportunities.
I know from experience that Melanie did agree to mentor some budding business leaders for 12 months and those who did as she suggested have succeeded above and beyond their own expectations!
